Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water
Is a gentle but powerful one-step cleanser that removes dirt and all kinds of residue on your skin, makeup included! Infused with Boseung green tea extract, this product gently exfoliates your skin and hydrates your complexion, keeping your skin soft and supple throughout the day while protecting it from external environments. This cleansing water is made without any artificial pigments, synthetic fragrances, benzophenone, parabens, animal products, mineral oil or talc, making sure this doesn’t irritate your skin.
Purchased at Althea Korea for $5.30. As you guys can already tell from my previous reviews, my skin DOES NOT LIKE ANY OIL BASED PRODUCTS! (ehem, just sayin’) With that said, I prefer oil free product, this particular one was WATER BASED so why not test it out if it could work for my oily combination skin!
Main Ingredient of the product was BOSEUNG GREEN TEA that is known to create a skin barrier to prevent skin moisture from evaporating. Plus it contained anti oxidants known to prevent skin ageing.
Contained on a plastic bottle weighs 300 ml of the product. It was vacuum packed with a plastic wrap. Surprised that the bottle didn’t break once the packaged arrived on my doorstep. All the product details on the container was in korean so I had no idea on how to use it. I had to google about the product. It was handy enough to hold and dispense the product and huge enough to last me months!
How to use
Saturate a cotton pad and apply onto face, leaving it on the skin for 5-10 seconds before wiping to really remove makeup and cleanse skin. Repeat as needed, then rinse off with water and pat dry.
I’m not a fan of cleansing waters. I just stick to an ordinary makeup remover but oftentimes, my face break out from it. So discovering a product that does not break me out would be considered a HOLY GRAIL!
Once in a while I use makeup specifically just a mascara and lipstick. I do avoid foundations or face makeup because I personally found it causing my skin breakouts. At first I was hesitant to use this cleansing water because it just might eventually cause breakouts and to my surprise, it did not!
I have oily and sensitive skin and due to that I am very picky when it comes to skincare. This Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water has a fresh minty clean scent but not really “green tea” (although I’m a big fan of green tea, I don’t want to smell like it.)
First off, I TOTALLY SOAK the cotton pad with the cleansing water the lightly press it onto my eyes for a least 5 seconds then flip the cotton pad over and do the same on my lips. It did not sting or irritate my eyes or lips while gently wiping off the makeup. It removes makeup with the harsh tugging that may lead to skin irritations and fine lines. As for the “healing” claims, I don’t have any active inflammations while using the product so I couldn’t say much about it. I didn’t break me out so that’s all that matters to me now.
Aside from the cleansing properties of the Green Tea Cleansing Water, my face became less oily and more rejuvenated! Of course I won’t substitute this for my whole skincare routine. On days that I would use makeup, I would use this then follow up with my cleanser just to remove all the dirt before heading out to bed. The only CONS I could see with this cleanser is that it does spill out from the container so travelling with it might not be ideal. If you have the same concerns as I do: sensitive skin and very prone to acne. This just might be the might be a great gentle cleanser for you.
