Acne Free Clear Skin Treatment

Over the years, my skin suffered from pimples. Adult acne was the term to use since I started having them now in my adult life. It started as small whitehead like bumps the  would progress to a pimple that would tend to bulge and then I would eventually squeeze them causing it to become more inflammed that it already was. And then causing it get infected causing more bumps and a scar after squeezing it out! That one bump is now  plenty and I would admit that it was my fault to begin with for touching my face all throughout the day and squeezing every single one of them.

So here’s how my skin appeared to be before testing out this treatment. 15.png

Desperately, I needed to treat my skin. Then I turned to Benzoyl Peroxide.

This medication is used to treat mild to moderate acne. It may be used in combination with other acne treatments. When applied to the skin, benzoyl peroxide works by reducing the amount of acne-causing bacteria and by causing the skin to dry and peel.

I had to replace my entire skincare routine to this acne free treatment and while on it, I must avoid sun exposure at all times since my skin was expected to peel. The peeling process was to eliminate the bacteria causing acne that will eventually give me a clearer complexion.

After 3 days, I felt my skin getting just a little bit dry on areas where I breakout. So I continued to so this twice a day for a week. My whole face started to peel so I focused on only the areas where I broke out which was on the sides on my cheeks and under my chin. After a week I started  using the acne free 3 step process just once a day.

As you can see, my pimples dried out then my skin did started peeling. The toner had alcohol in it and as expected, it did sting on my on dry patches. The repair lotion had a cooling sensation once applied but dried my skin out as well. I was considering to stop this procedure all at once since my skin was slowly clearing up. I could see my pimples healing faster then drying up without the scar.

On my 3rd week of the acne free system, I only used it once to twice a week and preferably at night. (36)

I felt my skin getting inflammed and similar to a sunburn but waaaaay painfull—-er! It felt like it was burning then dried up not just my pimple marks but along with my whole skin! But the good thing about it was that my pimples started to vanish as it dried out and peeled them off. I knew I had to stop this so I did.

So here are some of my tips:

  1. Use the cleanser (step one) only on affected areas. Just focus on pimple affected areas on the face or areas of your body. After the cleansing method, apply toner and the repair cream only on affected areas too! If you accidentally apply the whole 3 step process on other unaffected areas, your skin will get irritated. That is because of the active ingredient “benzoyl peroxide”. Your delicate skin aka face and neck area are more prone to dry up faster than your thick skin areas such as the back and upper arms, that’s if you suffer from acne on that areas too.
  2. Do not let the cleanser sit on your skin for more than 3 seconds. I use to rub and leave the cleanser on my face for more than 10 seconds which is a huge mistake because it dried up my skin.
  3. After using the acne free kit for 3 straight days, try using it once every other day. Try to schedule your treatment according to what your skin will tolerate.
  4. Expect your skin to peel! At first I didn’t see my skin peel as much but after using the 3 step process everyday, it started peeling, turning inflammed and was really painful! I tried using aloe vera gel to cool it off a bit but it stung! Any moisturizer placed on my inflammed face burned! So I stopped the treatment and waited for my skin to totally dry.
  5. Avoid the sun. Sun exposure triples the skin damage because during the treatment, the skin was already in the process on peeling making it prone to damage. Although the packet advised to use sunscreen while using the treatment, I tried it and it irritated my already very inflammed to almost burned skin. So if it’s possible, stay indoors while on this treatment.

I was on the acne free clearing system for just about 3 weeks. No pain No Gain. After all the pain endured. My skin cleared up. I would say the re occurring bumps under my chin, sides of the cheeks and some on my forehead stopped. I still get a bump from time to time but it was not a big and painful as it was before. My scars started fading too in the process. I would use this acne free kit only if necessary. Despite all my face had been through, this kit was effective.

My choice of moisturizer after the treatment was the Dermalogica clear water gel.
